Passenger ferry between the national park railway station, bridge and town center (Elbkai) Bad Schandau










The passenger ferry runs every 30 minutes between the station and the city, and the journey times are adapted to the S-Bahn S1 to or from Dresden.

In addition, there is a cross-ferry to the opposite bank of the station, which is linked to these ferry trips. Additional crossings are offered if required. There are steps at the bridge ferry landing, it is not barrier-free.

On the Elbe ferries, all tickets according to the VVO tariff (except the 4-trip short-distance ticket) and the Deutschlandticket are recognized, provided they are valid in terms of area and time.

The Saxon Switzerland mobile guest card is also valid as a ticket on the ferry.


Information on reduced prices: Children from 6 up to and including 14 years of age can take advantage of the reduced fares. Children under the age of 6 and severely disabled persons according to SGB IX are transported free of charge.
