Hohnstein carving booth
The workshop continues the tradition of hand-carved dolls from Hohnstein, which goes back over a hundred years. Hand-carved doll heads and figures based on classical models are created in the show workshop. Visitors can observe the work process and gain an insight into the manufacturing technique.
Main figures such as the Hohnstein Punch are made here, supplemented by individual figures for theaters and collectors. In addition to the production, theatrical sculptures are also shown, which underline the artisanal and artistic character of the place.
For those interested, carving courses and workshops are offered where you can make your own figures under supervision. The offer is aimed at individuals, families and groups.
Bookable carving courses can be found here.
