• Train station
  • Bus stops
A train station serving both regional and long-distance trains, serving as a starting point for exploring Saxon Switzerland.
The train station is located on the right bank of the Elbe, across from the town of Bad Schandau. Since its opening in 1877, it has evolved from a simple stop into a transportation hub with connections to rail, bus, ferry, and the bike path network.

At the on-site service office, visitors can obtain information on schedules, fares, and destinations in Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland as well as throughout the entire Upper Elbe Transport Association (Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe) region. In addition to tickets for trains, the Kirnitzschtalbahn, and long-distance service, hiking maps and souvenirs are also available here.

The office also serves as the central contact point for lost and found items from buses, ferries, and the Kirnitzschtalbahn. Its accessible design and connection to the hiking trail network make the station an ideal starting point for tours in the national park.

Long-distance trains on the Berlin–Prague route and the S1 S-Bahn line connect Bad Schandau with Dresden and the Elbe Valley. The Elbe ferry landing is nearby and provides a connection to the city center.
