Historic lime kiln Müglitztal
The historic lime kiln was built in 1856 as a so-called Rumford kiln. After renovation, it can now be visited as a technical monument. Inside, a small exhibition provides information about the history of the lime kiln and the importance of Maxen marble, which was quarried for centuries and used far beyond the region.
A viewing platform offers views of the surrounding Müglitz valley all the way to the Dresden television tower.
