Weesenstein Castle

Palace
Worth seeing
Park/garden
Family vacation
A mighty Weesenstein Castle complex on a rocky outcrop above the Müglitz Valley with a special architectural history and a beautiful park.
Audio guides in five languages lead visitors through the rooms of the royally furnished Weesenstein Palace. The tour is designed for adults and children and vividly conveys the history of the building and life at court.

One focus of the exhibition is the theme of "Johann Becomes King". Entertaining film scenes illustrate episodes from the life of the royal family on a historical basis. Interactive games in the castle rooms invite children to experience historical everyday life.

After the tour, the path leads into the baroque park of Weesenstein Castle. The terraced grounds with fruit trees and flower beds are well worth seeing.

Special exhibitions, seasonal events and guided tours complete the offer.
