The local history museum is located in a historic half-timbered house from the 19th century at Hauptstraße 30a/30b and offers a vivid glimpse into the daily life and work of past generations in Schöna and Reinhardtsdorf.
The ground floor displays the living conditions of a stonecutter’s family from around the 1920s, including original household appliances and cooking utensils.
In the upper rooms, visitors can learn interesting facts about the formation of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, historical quarrying, shipping on the Elbe, and mills—all supplemented by models and historical exhibits.
The half-hour tour is free of charge and can be arranged at any time, even outside regular opening hours, by appointment.
