Table mountain Kleiner Zschirnstein

Viewpoint/viewing tower
The Kleiner Zschirnstein is a 473-metre-high table mountain near Kleingießhübel with views over Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland.
The Kleiner Zschirnstein is located south of Kleingießhübel and is one of the typical table mountains of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. At 473 m, it is around 88 m lower than the neighboring Großer Zschirnstein, but offers an equally impressive rocky landscape.

The mountain consists of jagged sandstone with heavily overgrown plateau areas and steep rocky outcrops in the north. Natural weathering has left behind striking depressions on the summit plateau, so-called honeycomb and hollow shapes.

The view extends over the Elbe valley and the surrounding table mountains as far as Bohemia. The combination of both Zschirnsteine is popular as part of an extended circular hike.
