Small exhibition on the history of the village with historical insights into everyday school life, housing culture and tourism development in the region.
The Altendorfer Stuben are located in the community center of Altendorf, a district of Sebnitz. The exhibition was set up by the Altendorf local history association and documents the development of the village. Historical exhibits vividly convey the former life in the village.
A recreated schoolroom shows teaching materials and furnishings from past decades. In addition, a so-called guest room provides an insight into the village's development as a tourist destination. The presentation makes it clear how Altendorf has changed over time.
Further exhibition areas are dedicated to everyday objects that were discovered in attics and cellars. These finds illustrate the way of life of previous generations. Information boards place the objects in their historical context.
