There is a good chance that you will have even the most beautiful views all to yourselves. Solitude is not merely a matter of the season, but also of the time of day. Even on the most popular hiking days during peak season, the mornings and evenings at the Bastei are meditative.

Anyone who has seen the Bastei at sunrise from the Pavilion Viewpoint or Ferdinand Viewpoint will never forget the sight. In summer, of course, this means getting up very, very early. It is easier to catch the evening atmosphere.
