This relatively easy route leads to the Burchenbüchel viewpoint near Reinhardtsdorf. Here you have a beautiful view of the extensive rock reef of the Schrammsteine and the freestanding summit of the Falkenstein. If you only take the detour to the panorama view without the subsequent village walk, no long climbs or major altitude differences need to be overcome. The ground is mostly easy to roll on.

Directions
From the car park near the tourist information, the path first leads back to the main street. A few meters later, there is a turn to the right onto Schrammsteinblick street. After passing several buildings of an agricultural operation (these are on the right side of the street and recognizable by their smell), the path turns right again onto a concrete slab path.
At an old barrier (caution: short steep section!), this changes into a field path with heavily weathered bitumen surface. It is important not to turn too early here, as otherwise you will end up on the premises of the agricultural cooperative. After 600 m (from the start: 1.8 km), the Burchenbüchel viewpoint with a wonderful rest area is reached on a partly slightly gravelly track.
From here, there is the option to either return on the same path or extend the route with a circular trail of about 3.3 km. This route initially runs along the outskirts of the village – first along a street, then along a field path signposted as Caspar-David-Friedrich-Weg – up to the junction in front of a horse farm. There, the signage indicates the direction, now turning left back into the village. The last 20 m to the street are very steep, so assistance by companions without mobility impairments is recommended.
After this most demanding section of the hike, it mostly runs on asphalt over side streets – first left, then right of the main street – back to the starting point. Several variants are possible here, whereby the path steadily ascends after reaching the main street.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author
The excursion is basically suitable in any weather, provided the landscape is not buried in meters of snow. However, it is probably most beautiful on a sunny warm spring day or in early autumn. It is surprising that this destination with spectacular panorama is not yet well known and therefore few people are encountered.
