In the footsteps of the naturalist and local researcher Prof. Dr. Alfred Meiche from Saupsdorf to Hinterhermsdorf.

You start at the free hiking parking lot in Saupsdorf and hike quite steeply uphill along the narrow alleys before you may enjoy a fabulous panoramic view of the rock landscape of Saxon Switzerland halfway up the mountain. Once you reach Wachberg, a detour to the adventure playground is especially worthwhile with children.

Then you follow the Meiche trail through dense forest down to the foot of the Weifberg in Hinterhermsdorf. A detour to the wooden observation tower with a breathtaking 360-degree panorama is an absolute must.

From then on, it goes downhill along the "Old Nixdorf Road" from Bohemia, with a beautiful view over the tucked-away village. Upon arrival at the parking lot in the village center, bus line 268 will take you back to your starting point.
