The vantage point at the Breite Kluft offers a view over the Schrammsteine and the striking peaks of Saxon Switzerland.
The Breite Kluft is located in the Schrammstein area near Bad Schandau and is one of the most impressive vantage points in the region. From here, an unobstructed view of the rugged rocky landscape opens up.
The Elbe valley and distant peaks such as Rauschenstein, Zirkelstein and Kaiserkrone are also clearly visible. The light on the rocks is particularly atmospheric in the afternoon and emphasizes the character of the landscape.
The view is located directly on the Schrammstein ridge trail. The location makes it a suitable resting point for day and half-day tours.
The site is accessible all year round.
