Beizehaus National Park Information Center
In the former forester's lodge in Hinterhermsdorf, the Beizehaus information point shows how the forest in the Saxon Switzerland National Park develops naturally. Visitors learn what role the bark beetle plays in this and why silver fir is particularly encouraged here.
Original contemporary documents and vivid depictions of the everyday working life of past generations provide insights into the region's long tradition of forestry work. The topics are presented in a lively and understandable way - also easily accessible for children.
The exhibition invites you to see the forest with different eyes as a constantly changing habitat.
The Beizehaus is located in the grounds of the Waldhusche and can be ideally combined with a tour of the forest experience area.
