Kohlbornstein view
The Kohlbornstein is a freestanding rocky peak that reaches a height of around 378 meters. At the summit, there is a small pulpit with a bench and information board, which offers a wide panoramic view.
From here, the view extends to the west to the Papststein and Lilienstein, to the north into the Elbe valley and to the east to Falkenstein, Schrammsteine, Großer Winterberg, Zirkelstein and Kaiserkrone.
A historic ascent over steps leads to the view, created by the mountain club in the 1880s. Access is via narrow forest paths, for example from Krippen or Kleinhennersdorf.
The Kohlbornstein is freely accessible all year round.
