Parking lot Kleingießhübel
Parking lot Kleingießhübel
From the parking lot in Kleingießhübel, we leave the town on an initially steeply ascending paved grassy path and soon reach the forest. Here the gradient decreases until after 1.5 km the forest road becomes steeper again towards a large junction. From here we continue straight ahead on the now gently ascending Alte Tetschener Straße until after another 1.2 km we reach the next large junction at a rest area called Kalkbude. On the Zschirnsteinweg branching off to the right here, the surface gradually deteriorates. The following 500 m section is eroded except for coarse and loose gravel. Even though the terrain flattens again afterwards, there are still short steep sections with rock slabs to master up to the viewpoint. The summit offers a nice view and a small shelter. For the return trip we use the same route.
A17 junction Pirna - follow B172a towards Pirna (first exit Pirna) until Königstein, take the first exit at the roundabout - Bielatalstraße - follow the road, then turn right onto Cunnersdorfer Str. (later Pfaffendorfer Str.) - follow the road through Cunnersdorf - follow S169, which becomes Krippenstraße - before Kleingießhübel turn right onto Dorfstraße and you reach the parking lot
Free parking at the parking lot in Kleingießhübel (only chargeable for camping caravans)
Train S-Bahn S1 to Nationalparkbahnhof Bad Schandau, then change to bus 251 to Kleingießhübel Wendeplatz
