Wolfsberg (Reinhardtsdorf-Schöna)
The Wolfsberg rises around 343 meters above the Elbe Valley and is one of the smaller but striking elevations in Saxon Switzerland. It stands out from its surroundings by around 30-40 meters. The elongated ridge is made of sandstone and is geologically part of the Upper Turonian stage.
There is a historic excursion restaurant here, now run as the Panoramahotel Wolfsberg. The hotel was built at the end of the 19th century and offers sweeping views of the surrounding valleys and rock formations.
The mountain is nestled in wooded surroundings and is easily accessible from various sides. The view extends as far as the Kaiserkrone, the Schrammsteine and far into Bohemian Switzerland.
The Wolfsberg is located on the Malerweg and Germany's most beautiful hiking trail 2025, the Caspar David Friedrich Trail.
