Thieves' cellar cave

Natural sight
Cave/stalactite cave
The Diebskeller is one of the largest caves in Saxon Switzerland, located at the foot of the Quirl table mountain near Pfaffendorf.
The Diebskeller is located on the north side of the Quirl, a table mountain in Pfaffenstein. The naturally formed layered joint cave is one of the most impressive in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.

With a length of 29 meters, a width of 5 to 8 meters and a height of 2 to 4 meters, it covers an interior area of around 230 square meters. The cave is open to the public and particularly interesting for those interested in geology.

Embedded in a wooded slope above Pfaffendorf, the Diebskeller can be easily integrated into hiking routes around the Quirl. It is suitable as a rest stop or excursion destination on tours to Königstein Fortress or Pfaffenstein.
A flashlight will shed light on the hidden depths.
