Bicycle boxes at the National Park Center
There are 15 lockable bicycle boxes available at Bad Schandau town hall. They offer secure and weather-protected storage for bicycles and luggage - ideal for visitors who want to explore the town on foot or take a break from cycling.
The keys are available during opening hours at the National Park Center and the Aktivzentrum am Markt. The cost is €1.00 per day, on presentation of your identity card and a deposit of €10.00.

The Bad Schandau National Park train station can be reached directly by the S-Bahn and regional trains of the Upper Elbe Transport Association (VVO) from Dresden and the towns of the Upper Elbe Valley as well as the Eurocity connections of Deutsche Bahn on the Berlin - Prague and Hamburg - Budapest routes.
Be sure to book a window seat and take in the mighty rock faces of the Elbe Valley!

Coming from the north or south, you can reach Bad Schandau by car via the A 17 highway and the B 172 federal road.
