Bible Plant Garden

  • Park/garden
Mint, hyssop, wine, and figs: This small garden is home to plants that are also mentioned in the Bible.

The garden is located across from the Amtshof restaurant in Königstein. The idea was conceived in 2004, and the garden opened two years later.

The garden is circular in layout and consists of seven flower beds. They are arranged in a radial pattern and represent the seven days of creation.

Signs provide information about the individual plants and their significance. This highlights how closely plants were connected to the stories and everyday life of that era.

The garden is maintained by volunteers from the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Königstein-Papstdorf. Occasionally, church events are held here as well, including the St. John’s Day service.
