Bio- & Nationalparkrefugium Schmilka

The Bio and National Park Refuge Schmilka is a small holiday and leisure refuge that extends almost throughout the entire small former shipping village of Schmilka, where numerous organic offerings can be found. It is a so-called "Alberghi Diffusi" (from Italian: scattered hotel) – meaning rooms, apartments, vacation rentals and houses, the reception as well as restaurants, event venues or workshops are not located in the same building. The village of Schmilka thus becomes the actual hotel: the rooms and vacation rentals are not lined up along a long corridor on multiple floors, but scattered throughout the entire village.

During the cold season, Schmilka transforms into a dream of ice and snow: the winter village. Then guests can relax in the heated hot tubs, unwind in the panoramic sauna, or enjoy mulled wine by the fireplace in the Mühlenhof. The bakery (DE-ÖKO 006) as well as the restaurant "StrandGut" (AHVV) and the Gasthof zur Mühle (AHVV) are all certified organic. You can conveniently reach Schmilka by taking the S-Bahn S1 from Dresden, with the stop at Schmilka-Hirschmühle. Cross over on the historic ferry "Lena" from 1924, and your vacation can begin.
