Small afternoon route in Dohna

The route starts at the train station and first leads up to the marketplace. Here, an exciting scavenger hunt awaits children. Cannonballs are hidden in the façades of the houses. They are a remnant of the fierce battles between Napoleonic and Russian troops in 1813. At the marketplace, an old printing shop can be visited on the first Saturday of every month. Additionally, a visit to the newly designed local history museum is highly recommended, as you can learn more about the former Dohna castle there.

From the market, the path continues towards Ploschwitzer Höhe to the Pilz viewpoint. With clear visibility, the view extends over the town of Dohna to the Elbe slopes. The walk now follows the marked circular trail through the Spargründe nature reserve with babbling brooks. Then it returns to the train station.
