Evangelical-Lutheran church from the late 15th century with Gothic architecture and a prominent location above the market square.
The church of St. Marien stands on the so-called Taschenberg above the historic center of Dohna. The late Gothic building from 1489 was constructed on the site of the former castle complex.
It is a three-aisled hall church with a striking exterior and Gothic style elements. Particularly noteworthy is the organ from 1896 with 28 stops, made by the renowned organ builder Eule in Bautzen.
The church is regularly used for church services and events. From March to December, it is also open on Sundays for silent viewing.
