Start is Sebnitz bus station. From here, follow the meadow path along the Sebnitz for a while, cross the first bridge and pass the artificial flower and local history museum on the left, then turn right into Pfarrgasse, second right into Friedhofstraße, and second left onto Bergweg. You are now hiking on Bergweg, which later becomes Dr.-Alfred-Meiche-Weg (blue mark). Above Sebnitz you will soon find the first signpost to Wachberg (blue mark), which reliably leads you through the forest, along the edge of fields, a short stretch along the road, and then up the slope to the first stage destination. At the summit at 496 meters, the Wachbergbaude serves Saupsdorfer game roast with Bohemian dumplings against a breathtaking panorama, and in winter by the fireplace forest fruit “summit glow” according to a homemade recipe. Afterwards, the route leads on a forest path (green mark until the second crossing after the border, then blue mark to Tanzplan) across the border to the 597-meter-high Tanzplan (Tanečnice). This is the highest point of the route. From here, it is only downhill (yellow mark) back to Sebnitz.
