Sebnitz Municipal Collections

Museum/art collection
Town history house in Sebnitz with exhibitions on regional culture, local history and special collections.
The municipal collections show the history of Sebnitz and the region. Furniture, everyday objects and insights into the life of past centuries are presented in several exhibition rooms.

One focus is on the town's craft and industrial history, in particular the craft of artificial flowers. Events and personalities from the town's history are also documented.

The collection also includes works by regional artists, drawings, watercolors and objects relating to folklore. These complement the permanent exhibition with art and cultural history themes.

A separate section is dedicated to special collection areas such as shadow puppetry and other cultural forms of expression from the Sebnitz area.
