From the car park of the outdoor swimming pool in Goßdorf, follow the signs towards Hankehübel and Goßdorfer Raubschloss. The paths are well signposted, but there is no color marking on the trail.
Through the village of Goßdorf and along meadows, we first reach Hankehübel: The view from this viewpoint is particularly impressive. To the north, you can see the pointed Gickelsberg and Goßdorf, further right the Unger and the Tanzplan. To the east, you look into the Hintere Sächsische Schweiz - Winterberg, Bloßstock (Affensteinen) and behind it the volcanic mountains in Bohemia. In the southeast rise the Schrammsteine and the Zirkelstein and in the south the table mountains Zschirnsteine and the Hoher Schneeberg. Further right are the Pfaffenstein, the Königstein Fortress and the Lilienstein.
We follow the further route and after about 1.4 km reach the Goßdorfer Raubschloss, which lies relatively hidden on a narrow rocky spur above the mouth of the Schwarzbach into the Sebnitz. The old Schwarzberg castle once stood there. It was located on an important connection between Hohnstein Castle and the villages on the Hohe Straße. The castle was first mentioned in documents in 1372. At that time it was owned by the Bohemian noble family of Berken von der Duba. After the castle passed to the Hohnstein lordship in Saxony in 1451, it fell into oblivion and decayed. During the late Romantic period in the 19th century, interest in the former Schwarzberg castle was revived. An artificial ruin was built from the remains of the old masonry.
From the Goßdorfer Raubschloss, descend steeply into the Schwarzbach valley. After crossing the small Schwarzbach, turn left and follow the "yellow stripe" marking through the Schwarzbach valley towards Lohsdorf. After passing Lohsdorf station with the museum railway and the country inn "Zum Schwarzbachtal", follow the village street a few meters to the left towards Hohnstein. Soon turn left (Mühlweg) onto the Lohsdorf circular route marked with a horseshoe. Follow the "horseshoe" up to the Gickelsberg. From the Gickelsberg, descend a steep path back to Goßdorf to the starting point of the route.
