The route leads from Goßdorf-Kohlmühle through the Sebnitz Valley to the Goßdorfer Raubschloss and from there further through the beautiful Schwarzbachtal to Lohsdorf. From Lohsdorf, it goes over the old Bohemian Glass Road to Hohnstein to Hohnstein Castle. Afterwards, it continues through the Polenz Valley over the Hockstein to Rathen.
The route is classified as moderate difficulty because the paths are partly unpaved and there are some steep climbs to overcome—especially to the Goßdorfer Raubschloss and up to the Hockstein.

Directions
The route starts at Goßdorf-Kohlmühle stop in the Sebnitz Valley and from there follows the yellow mark into the Schwarzbachtal to the Goßdorfer Raubschloss.
After a short detour up the hill to the ruins of the Raubschloss, it continues following the blue dot through the Schwarzbachtal to Lohsdorf Station. Here you follow the original route of the narrow-gauge railway that once ran through the valley to Hohnstein.
From Lohsdorf Station, follow the road first through the town and then further towards Ehrenberg until a stone signpost at a junction points to Hohnstein.
At the entrance to Hohnstein—at the Sachsenberg settlement—keep slightly left and follow a path along the field, which then runs through a garden allotment area.
At the next road, walk a short stretch to the right and immediately leave the road again to the left onto a path that was once also used by the narrow-gauge railway. Then walk through Hohnstein along the Alte Brandstraße and past the town hall up to Hohnstein Castle.
After visiting the castle, walk back a short distance to the town hall and from there follow the blue mark through the Schindergraben into the Polenz Valley and from the Polenz Valley up to the Hockstein.
On the way up the Hockstein through the Wolfsschlucht, a short detour around the corner to the Hockstein Cave is recommended.
From the Hockstein, follow the green mark to the Amselsee and from there to Rathen, where you cross the Elbe with the help of a ferry and the route ends at the station.

Directions & Parking facilities
You can drive by car to the Bad Schandau station, park there, and then take the National Park Train U28.
For the journey there, it is recommended to use the National Park Train U28 from the National Park Station Bad Schandau towards Rumburk. The National Park Train U28 can be easily reached by S-Bahn from Dresden.

Sturdy footwear and sufficient provisions are recommended, as the paths are partly unpaved and the route is especially strenuous in warm weather.
