About the Divadlo U staré herečky Puppet Theater:
Jana Vyšohlídová grew up in a theater family and was introduced to puppetry at an early age. She studied acting with a focus on alternative theater and puppetry at DAMU in Prague and subsequently performed for several years at Naivní divadlo Liberec. After working at various other theaters, including Divadlo Minor, she founded her own “Divadlo U staré herečky” in 2015. Since then, she has been touring the Czech Republic and internationally with her puppet theater productions. Her mission: “Great theater on a small scale”—imaginative puppetry for children and adults. Her productions have won multiple awards and been presented at international festivals.
