The tourist information office is located in the former Scheidehaus of the historic visitor mine at Talstraße 2 A. It serves as a central point of contact for visitors to the town and its surroundings.
The adjoining store sells souvenirs from the region, minerals, books, Erzgebirge wood art and jewelry, among other things. Cold drinks, tea, coffee and, in summer, ice cream are also available, as well as outdoor seating.
Other services include a play corner, baby changing facilities, baby carriage storage and lockers. WC use is possible at the visitor mine for a fee.
The tourist information office also takes bookings for tickets to the mine, accommodation reservations as well as day trips and adventure tours.
