In the Peter-Ulrich Haus, the curtain rises on plays, cabaret, concerts, readings and talks in the Tom Pauls Theater.
The Tom Pauls Theater is named after the actor and cabaret artist Tom Pauls, known for his character Ilse Bähnert, among others. He founded the theater to make Saxon culture visible on stage.
The repertoire includes his own plays, including cabaret programs, musical evenings and literary readings. Tom Pauls regularly performs himself, often together with colleagues from all over Germany.
The program is supplemented by guest performances with cabaret artists, musicians and authors. Visitors can also view exhibitions in the house or take part in guided tours.
Regional specialties are served in Ilse's Kaffeestube. The theater shop offers tickets, books, CDs and other products related to the theater offerings.
