The starting point is the Pirna train station. From here, follow the B172, then turn left onto Clara-Zetkin-Straße. Continue straight on Rottwerndorfer Straße to Neundorf. Here, follow the Gottleuba river to the spa town Berggießhübel. Then take Hellendorfer Straße onto Eisenstraße to Bahratal, where you cycle along the road to Hellendorf. Over the bridge and after 400m turn left to follow the Saxon Central Mountains bike route: via the Bohlenschneise and Glasergrund to Ottomühle, continue in Bielagrund to Schweizermühle, where you cycle right to Rosenthal. Keep right there and after 500m turn left onto Winterleitenstraße. After a climb turn right onto Matheusweg to Cunnersdorf. Here you leave the Saxon Central Mountains bike route and follow the left cross path to Papstdorf, from where the route goes via Kleinhennersdorf to Krippen – the end of the route.
