  • Open-air theatre
Open-air stage in the old marble quarry - in Maxen, culture can be experienced amidst an impressive natural backdrop.

The Naturbühne Maxen is located in a disused marble quarry on the edge of the village. Rock walls surround the site and create a special acoustic and atmosphere.

The auditorium seats around 500 spectators. The program ranges from theater and music to cabaret and events with a regional focus.

The stage is operated by the Maxen local history association. The events take place in the summer months and reflect the village character as well as the local cultural commitment.
