Table Mountain Papststein
The Papststein is a 451-metre-high table mountain above Papstdorf in the municipality of Gohrisch. Two accessible approaches lead up to the plateau via steps and crevices.
There are several viewpoints on the paths and summit with spectacular views of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Photographers get their money's worth at both sunset and sunset.
The Bergwirtschaft Papststein has been serving hikers since the 19th century. It's well worth a stop. The restaurant is open all year round.
