The viewpoint on the Hartenstein rock, east of Hellendorf, offers a view over the Gottleuba Valley, Markersbach and, on a clear day, as far as Dresden.
The Felsberg to the east of Hellendorf lies at an altitude of 543 meters and forms the edge of the sandstone plateau. The view from the lookout offers a wide view over the landscape.

Dresden can be seen in the distance. The viewpoint is located directly on the Elbe Sandstone Forest Trail. The view is permanently freely accessible and can be enjoyed at any time of year.
