This relatively easy route leads to the viewpoint Am Viehbigt near Reinhardtsdorf. Here you have a beautiful view of the extensive rock ridge of the Schrammsteine and the freestanding summit of Falkenstein. If you only take the detour to the panoramic view without the subsequent village walk, there are no long climbs or major elevation changes to overcome. The surface is mostly easily rollable.

Directions
From the parking lot near the tourist information, the path first leads back to the main street. A few meters later, there is a turn to the right onto Schrammsteinblick street. After passing several buildings of an agricultural business (these are located on the right side of the street and can be recognized by the smell), the path leads again to the right onto a concrete slab path.
At an old barrier (caution: briefly steep!), this goes over into a field path with heavily weathered bitumen surface. It is important not to turn off too early here, otherwise you will end up on the grounds of the agricultural cooperative. After 600 m (from start: 1.8 km) you reach the viewpoint Burchenbüchel on a partly slightly gravelly track with a wonderful rest area.
From here, you can either return the same way or extend the route by a circular track of about 3.3 km. This route initially runs along the outskirts of the village – first over a street, then over a field path, which is signposted as Caspar-David-Friedrich-Weg – to the intersection in front of a horse farm. There the signage shows the direction, now going left back into the village. The last 20 m to the street are very steep, so assistance from accompanying persons without mobility impairment is recommended.
After this most demanding section of the hike, the route mostly follows asphalt side streets – first left, then right of the main street – back to the starting point. Several variations are possible here, with the path steadily ascending after reaching the main street.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author
The excursion is basically suitable in any weather, as long as the landscape is not buried under meters of snow. However, it is probably most beautiful on a sunny warm spring day or in early autumn. It is surprising that this destination with a spectacular panorama is still not well known and therefore few people are encountered.
