The hiking trail above the former quarries between Naundorf and Königsnase/Obervogelgesang is currently in poor condition and extremely muddy in places; hikers must climb over or go around several fallen trees. As an alternative, we recommend hiking the Struppen Panorama Trail (green dot) starting from Naundorf. The detour is about 1 km longer.

Directions
- From Weißig to the outskirts of Naundorf, follow the Malerweg. In Naundorf, leave the Malerweg and walk along the Lottersteig toward Struppen. At the intersection with Bärensteinstraße, turn left toward the Struppen campground. Pass the campground and continue along the Panoramaweg until you pass a historic millstone; then continue along the Panoramaweg until you reach a viewpoint overlooking the Struppen manor. From there, walk along the edge of the forest to Königsnase/Obervogelgesang. Then rejoin the Malerweg as usual.
