Directions

The route starts at the Goßdorf-Kohlmühle stop in the Sebnitz valley and initially follows the yellow line towards the Schwarzbach valley to the Goßdorfer Raubschloss. After visiting the ruin, for which you have to climb a steep hill, it continues along a ridge above to Goßdorf to the so-called Hankehübel.

From Hankehübel, the route continues through Goßdorf along the street to the Goßdorf outdoor swimming pool, which you reach by going left behind the fountain in the village center up Bergstraße.

From the pool, follow the blue line towards the school path, which leads directly to Waitzdorf.

In Waitzdorf, it is recommended to make a short detour on the Malerweg to a beautiful viewpoint such as the Waitzdorf lookout. Then continue a bit further into the village and follow the red line through the village ground into the Tiefen Grund.

Upon arriving in the Tiefen Grund, keep left and follow the street for a short distance before crossing the Waitzdorf stream and continuing on a beautiful path with small bridges through the Tiefen Grund.

At the end of the Tiefen Grund, keep left again and follow the blue line to Porschdorf station, where the route ends.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

Sturdy footwear and some provisions—especially drinks on hot days—are recommended, as some paths are unpaved and there is only one place to stop for refreshments after about 7.5 kilometers in Waitzdorf.
