Situated on a slope above the Müglitz Valley, the viewpoint offers a view of Weesenstein Castle in winter.
The building combines elements of Gothic, Renaissance and Classicism and was once the summer residence of King Johann of Saxony. The unusual construction is particularly striking - built from the mountain plateau downhill, with the oldest parts at the very top.
The place or rather the path to it bears the name "Abendfrieden" (evening peace) and lives up to its name, especially in the evening hours. A bench invites you to linger.
The site is accessible via forest paths and can be easily integrated into a walk from the Meusegast district or the castle park.
