Porschendorf mill - oil mill
The Porschendorfer Mill offers a wide selection of extra virgin, cold-pressed oils produced in-house.
The oils are produced in small batches and then bottled and labeled by hand. In the farm store, visitors can sample the various oils and learn about their production and uses.
The selection includes flaxseed oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, pumpkin seed oil, hemp oil, camelina oil, walnut oil, sesame oil, and black cumin oil. The farm store primarily offers freshly pressed cooking oils in raw food quality. Visitors can sample the oils and receive advice. Currently, nine different seeds are pressed, sourced from the region whenever possible (flax, sunflower, canola, walnut, pumpkin, hemp, sesame, camelina, and black cumin).
In addition to the oils, fresh products such as yogurt and quark are also available by order. The selection of non-perishable products includes vegetable oils (produced on-site) and vinegar, spreads/jams, honey, handmade sweets, tea, beverages, and non-food items such as soaps.
In addition to shopping opportunities, mill tours are offered upon request, and a farm festival is held on Pentecost Monday.
