A high vantage point in the rear part of Saxon Switzerland with an unobstructed panoramic view.
Access is via signposted hiking trails, either from Hinterhermsdorf or from the parking lot at the Buchenparkhalle. The routes run along forest paths, steps and narrow paths.
A bench carved into the rock and a railing can be found at the viewpoint. The view extends across the wooded border area to the ridges of the Lusatian Mountains and Bohemian Switzerland.
The site is one of the historically documented viewing points in the national park. There are engraved dates of early visitors along the access path.
