The Ferdinandaussicht overlook is located on the Ferdinandstein, just a few meters from the Bastei Bridge. From here, a striking view opens up onto the bridge and the rocky landscape of the national park. The combination of whimsical rock formations and historic architecture makes this spot particularly impressive.
The viewpoint is one of the best-known in the area and is a popular spot for photographers. The lighting is especially atmospheric in the morning, when the rising sun illuminates the bridge. Access is via a short side path near the bridge, and the viewpoint is reached by a few steps.
The area is not large and is located slightly off the main path.
