- Directions by Car:
At the Dresden-West highway interchange, take the A17 toward Pirna. Exit the highway at the Pirna exit. Now follow the signs for "Bastei." After passing through the town of Lohmen, you’ll reach the right turn toward the Bastei after about 2 km (at the gas station). Enter “Bastei” as the destination in your navigation system, or enter 01847 Lohmen, or the GPS coordinates: latitude 50.9665139 and longitude 14.0657333.
From the Pirna highway exit, Hotel Route A is signposted. If you follow this route, you will also arrive directly at the hotel via the route described above. Upon arrival and departure, hotel guests may drive right up to the hotel. The hotel’s private parking lot (150 meters away) is reserved exclusively for overnight guests. You will receive a parking pass at check-in at the front desk. The parking fee is €7.00 per night. A charging station for electric cars is available for a fee at the public parking lot in the town of Lohmen (approx. 400 meters away).
Traveling by train:
1. Dresden Central Station – S-Bahn to Pirna (every half hour)
or
2. Directly to Bad Schandau Station (IC connection)
From the Pirna or Bad Schandau stations, take a taxi or, from Pirna, alternatively take the bus (Pirna: Line 237) to the Berghotel Bastei. The trip takes about 20 minutes.
Note: Change in route due to the complete closure of the Bad Schandau Elbe Bridge (B172)!
