Directions & Parking facilities
At the Dresden-West motorway junction, take the A17 towards Pirna. Leave the motorway at the Pirna exit. Now follow the signs for "Bastei". After passing through Lohmen, after approx. 2 km (petrol station) you will reach the turn-off to the right to the Bastei. Enter the special destination Bastei or 01847 Lohmen or the GPS coordinates as the address in your sat nav: Latitude 50.9665139 and longitude 14.0657333.
From the Pirna motorway exit, the hotel route A is signposted. If you follow this, you will also come directly to the hotel along the route described above. On arrival and departure, access for hotel overnight guests is free right up to the front of the hotel. The hotel's own car park (150 metres away) is reserved exclusively for overnight guests. You will receive your car park ticket at reception when you check in. The car park fee is €7.00/night. A charging station for electric cars is available for a fee in the public car park of the municipality of Lohmen (approx. 400 metres away).
Travelling by train:
1. Dresden main station - S-Bahn to Pirna (every half hour)
or
2. directly to Bad Schandau railway station (IC connection)
From Pirna or Bad Schandau railway stations you can either take a taxi or alternatively the bus from Pirna (Pirna: line 237) to the Berghotel Bastei. The journey takes about 20 minutes.
Note: Change of route due to full closure of the Elbe bridge Bad Schandau (B172)!
