After our arrival in Stadt Wehlen by car or train, we follow the signpost to the ferry and cross the Elbe. At the market square, we keep left and finally reach the road to Wehlen. After a short steep ascent, we immediately leave this road again (before the first hairpin turn) and turn towards Steinrückenstraße. The ascent for the next 1000 m is to be covered on good asphalt until we enter a forest path in the Wehlener Grund. After a short flat section, it goes upwards again shortly before the junction to the Uttewalder Grund. Although the path only rises slightly, it has some rock obstacles that make the passage somewhat difficult. Towards the guesthouse "Waldidylle" and further to the Uttewalder Felsentor, the path narrows increasingly into a romantic rocky valley. Upon reaching the Uttewalder Felsentor, most wheelchair users reach the turning point of the route here, as the narrowest part of the gate is only 60 cm wide. After enjoying the well-known motif of the romantic painters of the 18th/19th centuries, such as Adrian Zingg and Ludwig Richter, we continue our route and drive back to the guesthouse "Waldidylle." After a cozy break, we drive back towards Stadt Wehlen. As on the way there, we cross the Uttewalder Grund and finally the Wehlener Grund. There are no more ascents to be mastered, but mostly a gentle downhill slope to be driven. Shortly before reaching the market square, a steep downhill section must still be overcome before we find ourselves back in the middle of Stadt Wehlen. After the ferry crossing of the Elbe, our route is finished.
