Neustadt cycle route - Hohwald

The route starts at the station in Neustadt. Follow Bahnhofstraße about 100 m north and then turn left into Karl-Liebknecht-Straße. Follow this street, cross the traffic light intersection, and then continue on Maxim-Gorki-Straße. After about 700 m, leave it to the left onto Mittelweg. Shortly after, cross the bridge over the Polenz on the right side. You are now on Inselweg, which you follow to the next intersection. Then turn left first and then immediately right again. There you cycle on Mittelweg again, which you leave after about 800 m to the right onto "An der Lücke". Here you head towards Erbgericht Polenz, where you turn right onto Polenztalstraße.
You are now on the Neustadt cycle route, marked with a "blue dot on white background". You leave Polenztalstraße to the left onto Cunnersdorfer Straße, then turn into Mittelweg and again left into Cunnersdorfer Straße. Follow this until Flämmigtweg, where you turn left. Passing the forest swimming pool, follow the marking until you reach S 156. There turn left. After some time, you come to the junction to Krumhermsdorf, which you take. Then follow the path to the fire brigade in Krumhermsdorf. There turn left. Cycle on the street "Am Bahnhof" and keep left before the station to continue on the cycle path. Following this path, after some time you reach a forest parking lot where you can turn right to visit Unger and climb the observation tower on Ungerberg (537 m). With or without visiting Unger, you then cycle downhill until you reach S 154. There you cycle a short stretch on the state road on the right and then follow the cycle path again on the left side.
Passing the forest stadium, you reach Rugiswalde. At the level of the volunteer fire brigade Rugiswalde, turn left onto Talstraße. Follow this, which then becomes "Am Berg". At a small pond, turn left onto "Kochs Weg". In the next 1000 m is a section with steeper descent. At the end of "Kochs Weg" turn left into Dorfstraße. Cycle this until the inn Zum Raupenberg.
Continue over Raupenbergstraße towards the CZ border crossing and shortly before the border turn left onto "Alte Waldstraße". Now you cross the Hohwald if you follow the marking.
At the information board, which clearly shows all cycle paths locally, turn right. A hilly section follows, passing small ponds. After about 2 km, turn left towards Niederottendorf. Following the path, you reach Bischofswerdaer Straße, where you turn right. At the junction Rückersdorfer Straße cycle towards Rückersdorf, crossing S 156 again.
In Rückersdorf the route continues left at the fire brigade's level. Now stay on Mühlstraße, which becomes Wachbergweg. After the descent and railway underpass, you reach an industrial area through which you cycle until S 159. At the state road, turn left onto a short cycle path parallel to the state road. After about 300 m, cycle onto "Am Erbgericht" street. There is another descent before you reach Erbgericht Polenz again, where it is better to be careful as this street has water grooves. At Erbgericht, cycle back to the station on the already known route.
