Ottendorfer Hütte: Climbing school
The courses are aimed at individuals, families, groups, school classes or clubs. The program includes taster days, basic and advanced courses (each lasting two days), guided climbing and via ferrata tours. Climbing equipment is provided (for a fee for guided tours). There is no age limit. Accompanying persons without active participation are also welcome.
A climbing day lasts around five to seven hours. The meeting point is in Ottendorf, the start and route are agreed individually. Destinations are prominent rocks or viewpoints with insights into the geology, history and nature of the national park. After the tour, you can stop for refreshments at the hut. There is also a small souvenir shop on site.
Certified climbing instructors or members of the mountain rescue service will lead the course.
A healthy condition, comfortable clothing (e.g. long trousers), sturdy shoes for the approach and a daypack with food and drink are required. Dogs can be brought along by prior arrangement.
