Schlager Concert

The Black Sea Cossack Choir’s farewell tour, led by Peter Orloff, has already exceeded even the highest expectations. Concerts have been sold out almost everywhere, with additional performances added. Concertgoers are thrilled, but also very sad! Due to countless requests from fans who are eager to see Peter Orloff and his magnificent ensemble one more time, a festive farewell concert featuring Peter Orloff and the Black Sea Cossack Choir will take place on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the Neustadthalle.

Peter Orloff, the grandson of a tsarist general, is also extremely successful as a pop singer, composer, and lyricist. With his songs “Du” (Peter Maffay), “Der Junge mit der Mundharmonika,” and “Der kleine Prinz” (Bernd Clüver), and “Ein Mädchen für immer” (Peter Orloff)—four of the most successful German hits of all time. As a singer, he has appeared in the official German sales charts with 19 releases to date from 1967 to 2026—a record-breaking span of 59 years! And just recently—achieving his highest-ever chart position in February 2026—he also made the charts with his latest album “Triumph of a Legend” featuring the Black Sea Cossack Choir!  As a singer and composer, he reached No. 1 on the official YouTube charts in 2024 with his song “Du.” As a lyricist, he wrote the German hit of the year in 2025, “Die Tasse Kaffee – Schau mal herein,” performed by Helene Fischer and Florian Silbereisen. And since fall 2025, he has been on one of the most successful tours of the year with his ensemble. The 2019 “Jungle Prince” and, according to BILD, the “Jungle King of Hearts,” was also the most-Googled man in Germany and the oldest “Ninja Warrior” contestant of all time worldwide; even at 82, he’s still in the fast lane of life, in top shape and bursting with energy!

His ensemble consists of some of the greatest opera stars and instrumental virtuosos from Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine, who make music together in warm harmony under the direction of Peter Orloff, who himself shines as a soloist on multiple occasions. The concert is a journey through the wonderful world of old Russia, featuring songs, legends, stories, and ballads that allow the glory and grandeur of days gone by to shine in new splendor—a fireworks display of emotions! Alongside well-known classics such as “Evening Bells,” “The Twelve Robbers,” “The Lonely Little Bell,” “Stenka Razin,” or “Kalinka,” as well as classics like the “Prisoners’ Chorus,” “Ave Maria,” and “Nessun Dorma,” are joined by numerous other newly rehearsed highlights.

At the farewell concert in the Neustadthalle on November 6, 2026, Peter Orloff & the Black Sea Cossack Choir will transport the audience to another world, to another time, and captivate them for two hours. Rather than fading away slowly like a candle, they will shine brightly once more like fireworks and showcase everything that has made this magnificent ensemble such a legend over the past decades!
