Hinterhermsdorf (Erbgericht)
Hinterhermsdorf (Erbgericht)
We start our hike from the starting point of the hike (parking lot / bus stop Hinterhermsdorf, Erbgericht) first northwards in the direction of Weifberg (blue line, Weifbergstraße, then Nixdorfer Straße). The yellow dot later takes us to the foot of the 32-meter-high observation tower with 173 steps on the Weifberg. There is a magnificent panorama over the natural and cultural landscape of the Hintere Sächsische Schweiz, reaching far into Bohemia. Our route then leads down the Weifberg (red line towards Schäferräumicht). We walk across an open area and at the next fork in the road, we turn left at a street (Folgenweg, yellow and red line). It goes down into the valley to a junction, where we turn left (Bammelweg, yellow line). At first, it goes uphill and later down into the Weißbachtal. We follow (right) the yellow line along the valley towards Hinterhermsdorf.
In this section, the Weißbach is also the border to the Czech Republic. Soon the stream flows into the Kirnitzsch.
At the next junction, we keep right and follow the signpost towards Hinterhermsdorf (yellow line). After we are back in the forest, we continue straight until we reach the street. We continue uphill along the road (on the right). At the next signpost, we turn slightly left and continue on the bike route. After a few meters, we turn left at the height of the house and go downhill. We keep right to cross the stream. Now we follow the trail further uphill. In the forest, we keep left but continue uphill. Then we continue across the meadow and then turn right onto the street. At the next junction, we turn right onto the Panoramaweg (yellow dot) and immediately take the field path on the left. Then we continue straight on the street. Then we turn right into Oberdorgweg (yellow line) and walk past the yellow house on the left, always straight ahead. Finally, we arrive again at the signpost and our starting point.
The route is suitable for children and dogs.
