From the pavilion view to the Stone Table and the Bastei

We start at the Bastei bus stop. Looking towards the Bastei, there is a small path on the left which we follow until we reach a wide hiking trail. We follow this to the left for about 250m until we come to a signpost. We continue in the direction of Schwedenlöcher. After another 300m or so, we reach the next signpost, which already indicates the viewpoint.

You can now take the direct route on the right or opt for a short detour. Following the path on the left, you first come to a small rest area with some seating, the so-called Gänsehütte. You then reach the pavilion viewpoint.

We now walk back along the Gansweg to Basteistraße, the asphalt road. We follow this road to the right for around 700m until we reach a bus stop, where a wide forest path branches off to the left to the Stone Table. Follow this path to the crossroads at the inn.

Now take a wide hiking trail to the left in the direction of the Bastei. We reach the road again at a kiosk. This now turns right directly to the Basteihotel.

We pass the first vantage point, the Wehlsteinaussicht.

After passing the mountain hotel, you reach the new Bastei viewpoint on the right. If you follow the steps downhill, you will come directly to the Bastei bridge.

Take the same route back. Following Basteistraße, you will reach the bus stop after about 250m.
