Directions

The hike starts at the House of Guests in the center of Hinterhermsdorf. The path goes gently uphill on the "Old Nixdorf Street" to the Weifberg at 478 meters. From the wooden viewing tower, you can enjoy a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view, which rewards the effort of climbing the 173 steps.

After descending from the tower, we follow the "Yellow Dot" marking on a white background and reach the Emmabank viewpoint. The route continues to Neudorfstraße towards the Buchenparkhalle. A detour to Hackkuppe (former quarries) with a nice view of the village is not advisable in snow and ice. The descent goes via the Dorfbachweg with Malerwinkel to the village square.
In wintry conditions, follow Buchenstraße from the Buchenparkhalle back to the village center.
