Yvonne Brückner is a contemporary artist from Saxon Switzerland. She lives and works in Gohrisch, where she paints landscapes, portraits, and abstract works.

One of Yvonne Brückner’s main focuses is landscape painting of Saxon Switzerland. Her paintings depict scenes from the Elbe Sandstone Mountains—such as Lilienstein, Schrammsteine, Königstein Fortress, and the Elbe Valley—and capture the light, fog, vastness, and characteristic forms of the landscape.

In addition to her landscape paintings, her portfolio includes the series “Moments and People.” Her figurative paintings and portraits explore themes of freedom, decision-making, and personal transitions. Small symbols or written words open up additional layers of meaning in individual works.

Non-representational, gestural painting is also part of her artistic spectrum. Here, free forms and movement are viewed through the lens of becoming. The focus is not on the finished state, but on the moment in which something is changing.

Original paintings of Saxon Switzerland and other works can be viewed and purchased via the website as well as at the Galerie Vielfalt in Pirna, Barbiergasse 19. The website also features current exhibitions and information on available originals and art prints.

For those who’d like to get creative themselves:
Artist Yvonne Brückner also offers painting classes and painting events at various locations in Saxon Switzerland. This way, you can take your own painting home with you.
